Integration with the logistics and shipping systems allows to automate, at various levels, the post-sales process. After the sales have been made on one of the channels (eCommerce or marketplace) and the orders have been acquired by bindCommerce, it is necessary to organize the shipment to the customer, and this is where the express couriers or logistics services .
When the company holds the products to be shipped in its own warehouses, integration with one or more express couriers is normally necessary, so that the shipping data is transferred to the system that prints the labels, the waybills and then trace the evolution of the shipment. The integration with the express couriers is sometimes necessary even when the shipment takes place in dropshipping, in cases where the seller sends his trusted courier to the supplier's warehouse.
Then we have the case in which storage and shipment are managed by an external logistics service. In these cases it is necessary to send all the order data to the logistics service, and acquire the result of the shipment from the same.
Integration with express couriers
Starting from January 2022, bindCommerce has introduced new features for communicating with the main express couriers. The previous service via "file exchange" has been discontinued.
