Prestashop

bindCommerce module for Prestashop

General presentation of the module

The bindCommerce module for Prestashop aims to support the communication between Prestashop and the bindCommerce integration service, in 2 directions.

Version 1.3.2 allows you to manage the following processes:

  • Export products from Prestashop to bindCommerce
  • Import orders from bindCommerce to Prestashop

After configuring the module with the basic parameters necessary for communication with bindCommerce (connectors to be called on bindCommerce and relative token), Prestashop will be able to start the synchronization activities.

Product export

Preview

The module is able to export the following standard Prestashop information to bindCommerce: title, html description, categories, cover and additional images, final price (including and excluding taxes), VAT rate, quantity in stock, product variants for products with combinations.

If a specific price is enabled for the country considered in Prestashop, it is imported into bindCommerce as a discounted price.

Product identifiers

An option in the module settings allows you to choose which code to use as a SKU identifier on bindCommerce among the following:

  • Product ID (assigned automatically by Prestashop it is shown in the first column of the products table);
  • COD or Reference (custom code).

In both cases it is possible to add a prefix to the chosen code, particularly useful when the product id is used (to avoid possible code conflicts with other products imported to bindCommerce from other sources).

Sync Mode

It is possible to set up automatic synchronization of products whenever they undergo changes, or carry out manual and scheduled synchronizations of all data or only of quantities or prices.

The export of products from Prestashop to bindCommerce can be activated in 4 ways:

  1. Following a change to the product after pressing the Save button if the Automatic Product Update setting has been activated.
  2. By clicking on the Export products button in the Sync tab of the bindCommerce module. In this case it will be possible to establish which products to export (maximum number, range of IDs and sorting) and which information to export for each product (all data, only quantities or only prices)
  3. Automatically upon receipt of an order on Prestashop or upon creation of the same from the backend (in this case only the warehouse quantities will be exported to bindCommerce).
  4. Through actions scheduled via cronjob, following the instructions in the Scheduled actions tab of the bindCommerce module (where it is possible to set the same limits present on the Sync tab)

Import orders

Preview

The module is able to import the orders present on bindCommerce (previously imported from other sales channels) into Prestashop.

The information considered is:

  • billing information
  • shipping information
  • the bindCommerce order number (unique numerical reference)
  • node type (e.g., eBay Marketplace)
  • the reference node and its id
  • the order number referring to the node from which the order comes
  • the date and time the order was created and modified
  • the order lines
  • the order notes

The module is able to import only order lines referring to products present in Prestashop (in this case it deducts the quantities of warehouse consumed from the order).

Following the installation of the module, the order view on Prestashop is evolved through the addition of the bindCommerce tab with the following information:

  • Order number
  • Market
  • Market order reference
  • Node
  • Node ID
  • Order received
  • Last update

Sync Mode

The module differentiates between 2 possible order import operations:

  • order creation on Prestashop
  • order update on Prestashop

The activation of the import can take place in 2 ways:

  1. By clicking on the Create orders or Update orders button in the Sync tab of the bindCommerce module. In this case it will be possible to establish how many orders to import (maximum number, and ordering); this limit is an additional filter compared to the one used by bindCommerce when generating the feed to be sent to Prestashop and is used to solve any site overload problems (dividing the import into steps).
  2. Through actions scheduled via cronjob, following the instructions in the Scheduled actions tab of the bindCommerce module (where it is possible to set the same limits present on the Sync tab)
