The installation of the Prestashop type nodes allows you to put the bindCommerce integration platform in communication with the online stores built in the Prestashop environment.
The installation consists of inserting an authorization code that will allow the dialogue of the e-commerce platform with bindCommerce, but let's see the configuration of the node from the beginning.
Go to the menu:
Process >> Nodes
click on the Add button and fill in the required fields:
- Technology: indicate with which application the bindCommerce must communicate.
- Name: choose the name to give to the node.
FTP access
- FTP server: indicate the FTP server without the protocol, for example ftp.mysite.it
- Folder: leave blank if the account directly accesses the folder where the site resides. Otherwise, fill in indicating the path to reach the site installation folder terminated by /
- Username: enter the username for access via FTP
- Password: enter the login password
- Enable passive transfer mode: activate this function only for FTP areas that only provide passive transfer mode
- Enable SFTP Transfer: Select Yes or No
Website address
- Protocol: communication protocol of the site where Prestashop is installed;
- Url: absolute address of the site where Prestashop is installed.
Prestashop
- Key: in order to allow communication between bindCommerce and Prestashop an authorization code is required.
To get it, you need to generate a key directly on Prestashop.
The reference menu is:
Advanced parameters-->Webservice
To obtain the key, click on the Add a new service key button. A screen will open where you can: generate the key using the Generate button, add a description to it and set the permissions. These must all be indicated by clicking on the boxes in the first row of each column.
Then, the key obtained must be entered in the bindCommerce node.
- Version: indicate the Prestashop version installed on your site. It is available directly from the backend of the site, following this menu:
Advanced parameters --> Informations
The Shop Information screen will be available which will contain the PrestaShop Version item.
Costs of the sales channel
These are useful parameters for calculating commercial profitability. It is possible to specify a fixed cost per sale and an average percentage cost.
After entering or updating the parameters, before continuing, you must click on the SAVE AND CONTINUE button to save the parameters that will be used by the node installation or update process.
Installazione del nodo
To install the node just click on the INSTALL NODO button. The system will confirm the start of the installation with a message (which will end in a few seconds, without further messages)
Node update
In correspondence of functionality updates, the bindCommerce team will notify you of the need to update the node. To update the node simply click on the UPDATE NODE button.
Connectors
After the installation and configuration of the node, it will be possible to configure and use the connectors towards Prestashop, and specifically:
- Connector for uploading products on Prestashop
- Connector for downloading products from Prestashop
- Connector for downloading orders from Prestashop
- Connector for uploading orders on Prestashop
