This section of the guide is about checking eBay responses after launching one of the connectors that make calls to eBay asynchronously, and then:
- Verification of placing listings (auction or fixed price)
- Placing listings (auction or fixed price)
- Edit listings (auction or fixed price)
- Early ending of listings (auction or fixed price)
- Relisting listings (auction or fixed price)
After launching the execution of the connector in question, the progress check can be carried out by observing 3 lists:
- Connector execution log (Log menu -> Connectors execution log)
- Log responses from eBay (menu Marketplace -> eBay -> Reports and Logs --> Log answers)
- Publication result and Notes fields in the eBay listing list (Marketplace menu -> eBay -> Listings | after entering a single listing look in the Data returned by eBay group)
The first log (Connector execution log) tells us whether the activity of sending the request to eBay has been carried out successfully or not.
Observing the subsequent log (eBay response log) tells us when eBay receives our request and with what general outcome (also indicating a reference to any listigs on which anomalies have been found). After the connectors are launched, bindCommerce starts asking eBay for updates on the request made (maximum 10 times, 90 seconds later). If no response is received within this time (due to high traffic on the eBay platform), a new request for news on the Job awaiting response will be made by an administrative connector scheduled every 60 minutes.
The detail of the result on the single listing can instead be read directly on the listing, in the Data returned by eBay group.
The other connectors to eBay (download categories from the shop, download orders and download listings) act in synchronous mode; response times are therefore shorter and the activity log is simplified (connector execution log table only).
Report errors and/or warnings
Another equally effective way to consult the post-publication / update result is to download a complete report of the listings where errors have been generated that have affected the sale or modification. To download the report go to the following menu:
Marketplace -> eBay -> Report e Logs -> Export report
